About me

Education

Master in Political Economics and Econometrics. Habilitation in Computer Science from the Department of Informatics at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

Teaching

I taught Computer Science and Operations Research at the Department of Informatics at the University of Fribourg: Algorithmics, Programming Languages (C, Java, Oberon, a.o.), Mathemtical Modeling, Quantitative Models in Revenue Management, Transportation & Logistics.

Research

As a researcher, I developed a computer and mathematical modeling language (LPL). LPL is a powerful and efficient language to formulate large linear and integer models (MIP) in a commercial context and to link them to commercial solvers (such as Gurobi). LPL is also an easy to learn language in the context of teaching mathematical modeling concepts. Furthermore, LPL is a test-bed in my research activity to develop new ideas in modeling.
